Birding Exploration with EndemicGuides.com to Kuala Selangor and Fraser’s Hill 25-26 January 2007For more trip reports, visit my website at http://www.nature2pixel.com/blog

This is a 2-days exploration (and the first for this year) together with endemicguides from 25-26 January 2007. We had Frank from New York to bird with us for 3 days. But I had to cut short the trip and came back home in Kajang - leaving Town Centre, Fraser’s Hill at 7.07pm and reach my home at 9.33pm. This whole trip covers a distance 385 km, well probably a little more than 400km because I didn’t drive my car to Bagan Sungai Buloh and Sekinchan Paddy Field. I have set my target of 100 species for January and I’m happy that I’ve exceeded my target by the end of 2nd day at 101 species. Hooray! (Please refer to my latest bird list). Now, here’s the list of birds sighted during the trip and obviously I missed some of the birds. I think Frank managed to get more than I did. Frank has set his life target of 1,000 species and I’m glad that we were able to contribute to his target. His current count is around 400 species, thus, I am sure that after the 3 days he would have reach 50% of his target. Well done Frank.

Now here is the list of birds sighted and heard in Kuala Selangor Nature Park, Bagan Sungai Buloh, Sekinchan Paddy Field, Rawang, and Fraser’s Hill. I was a bit upset that when I reached Fraser’s Hill at 5pm, it was very misty. So I can only managed a few species before 7pm. Nevertheless, this 2 days exploration trip is good fun.
